Winter Doodle & Role Models

December 29, 2014

This is my holiday/winter doodle from last week. It was just a quick scene that I put together in Photoshop because I need to buckle down and practice poses, interaction of characters, and scenes.

You will often find this type of couple pairing in my work because it's not common in a lot of the illustration work I've seen. If you have a problem with that, then don't view my stuff.

I create because it is my passion. I live and breathe the visual arts. Without it, I am nothing.

I hope I can inspire other young people to pursue their passions as vigorously as I am. Particularly those of the black female variety. I didn't have any role models who looked like me and shared my interests growing up so as I continue to grow and build my craft, I hope I can touch at least one young mind.

Thank you all for reading my words and viewing my art. I may not post again until after the new year, so I'll say I'll see you next year.

Quote of the Week

Everything is blooming most recklessly; if it were voices instead of colors, there would be an unbelievable shrieking into the heart of the night.
