This is me as Lucy from the Peanuts.
I was inspired to draw this because I end up giving a lot of advice to friends, acquaintances, and even at times, strangers. I hear that it has a lot to do with the vibe I give off. Often times people say that I seem very open and accepting.
More recently, I read an article about avid/deep readers (granted it was an Elite Daily post, but it cited its sources). It talked about how there's a correlation between reading fiction and having heightened empathy and "theory of mind." Readers have the ability to take in other people's ideas and opinions without immediately rejecting them.
In addition to this, we have lived multiple lives through the stories that we've read. We have seen the world through other people's eyes and learned from their experiences. This helps mold a person into someone much wiser and understanding. That isn't to say that it always turns out like that. But more often I find that avid readers like myself tend to have these traits.
This is all to say that I hear that I'm pretty good at giving advice. I'm also pretty good at listening and being a shoulder to cry on. I pride myself on having a very understanding and open heart and I think that, that helps when people approach me. It gives me a warm, fuzzy feeling that people are able to connect with me in that manner. Hopefully, I'm making the world a better place.
